The format for this album slightly differs, in two ways, from other albums. 1) Each track is much longer and includes several different movements in order to allow for lengthier songs to accompany your prayer. 2) There is no ‘end’ of the album, but rather it will be an ongoing work, with continual updates as new piano music comes. You are therefore invited to return to this album to hear new songs as they arise, and to add, if desired, to your music for prayer.
Spiritual Reflection: Shepherd’s Abode is a collection of classical piano improvisations, intended for prayer and dwelling within the heart of Christ. The Lord, our true Shepherd, opens his heart and his life, within the very life of the Triune God, for us to share in and to make our home – our abode. May the music offered here be a small gift to aid you in resting within the embrace of God.

Butterfly Dream includes eight original compositions on the 19-string lyre. Played on an American cherry wood, solid body lyre made by Brandon John Luthier, this album offers sweet melodies from a delicate and ancient instrument. Published February 2025
Spiritual Reflection: Butterflies, symbols of transformation, rebirth, and new life, grant us a small image of our hope, our longing, perhaps our dream, of life in Christ. Remaining our unique selves, yet radically and beautifully transformed into a new creation, we are born anew through the breath of the Spirit, the gift of the Son, and the mercy of the Father. May we live with and in such hope, uniting our dreams with that of the one who loves us and grants us wings to love and live with him, in him, and through him.

This album is a collection of twelve songs written for various psalms with the accompaniment of the lyre. My hope is that these more simple tunes provide songs that are easy to pray with as well as to play, if desired. Published May 2024.

Spiritual Reflection: The Lord is “higher than my highest and more inward than my innermost self” says St. Augustine. How near he is to us at every moment and yet how infinitely beyond he remains….God holding us inseparably close to him with love that pierces the most intimate depths of our hearts, yet this same love holds the entire universe in existence. Desiring to communicate the truth of his constant presence with us at every moment and in every circumstance, this album includes songs of sweet simplicity as well as songs of fear and heartache. May these little songs serve as a vehicle for his truth and love to touch and move you.

Spiritual Reflection: Beauty has the capacity to touch within us some of the deepest and most tender recesses of our hearts. Yet, such touches are of the most tender and gentle nature, absent of any shouting or obtrusiveness. At times, through only the smallest whispers do we hear within ourselves the call of beauty and we are drawn to the source and summit of such a mysterious yet personal voice. It is my hope that this little lyre album whispers a word of beauty to you; beauty which our loving God speaks to us and through us at every precious moment. May our hearts be silent and still enough to receive such delicate gifts of love.

Giving Hand includes ten piano improvisations, written in a soothing and gentle style; seeking to offer music of interest and strong melodic lines, yet soft to the touch and unintrusive for the listener. Published November 2023.
Spiritual Reflection: Receiving from the gentle and abundantly generous hand of God, we abide at each moment in the sustaining gift of the Trinity’s love for us. Held in times of fear, loneliness, and confusion, as well as times of peace and joy, it is only by his giving hand that we have the breath of life. This album includes ten solo piano pieces, improvised through play and wonder in the presence of the Lord as he is present in the the Tabernacle. May it be fruitful for you, as God desires, and may we all rejoice in the giving hand of God!

Included in this album are eight original compositions for the Low Whistle. This instrument is familiar in much of Irish music and is also known by its close relative, the Tin or Penny Whistle. Enjoying the soaring tones of this instrument, the album seeks to explore and play within the beauty of simple yet heart-wrenching melodic lines. Published October 2023.
Spiritual Reflection: Held by the promise of God’s mercy and love, we can walk with confidence in him who has given himself to give us eternal life. With the beautiful voice of the low Irish whistle, this album seeks to express both the cries of the human heart during this life on earth, reaching out beyond the limits of time and space, and the joy that bursts from the heart of one who receives even the slightest touch of the Spirit’s hand of love.
